Never Started Reviewing Cards, How to Start/Catch Up?

Hi,

I’m sure I’m not the only person to do this, but I cant find anything that particularly matches my issue.

I’ve been working through a huge bulk of study material, and religiously entering it into anki decks, with the plan to get through a large chunk of the material before I start revising (in hindsight not a great idea).

The time has now come to start revising - where do I start? I have 4600 cards which are largely unreviewed. Currently they are broken up into 4 decks with many subdecks.

Thanks in advance.

This is like having downloaded a pre-made deck: Just start and see how many new cards/reviews per day you can handle.

For others, who might be new to Anki: It is a good idea to test (learn/review) your selfmade cards early, so you can adjust your process of creating cards. Some cards will just not work for you. Other cards are not needed at all for your learning process.

Thanks Ferophila.

I’ve got multiple subdecks, rather than one main deck. Am i best off creating a filtered deck with all the cards added to it and starting off with that?

Thanks

Yes, you can do that. But reviewing from your normal decks is fine too.

If you want everything in one deck you can also create a normal deck and adding everything else as subdecks too it.
