Custom Study Setup: Learn new cards from one deck, review from all finished decks

Hello,

Right now, I have multiple decks (like X) and I study them one at a time. So for example, I focus only on the X deck until I finish learning all its cards. Then I move to the next deck.

What I want is this:

Daily Goal:
• Learn 15 new cards only from the current active deck (e.g. X).
• Review 150 old cards total, but from all decks I’ve already studied.

After I finish one deck (all cards learned), I move to the next deck, and now new cards come from that one. But reviews still come from everything I studied in the past.

So I want Anki to:

  1. Automatically keep giving me 15 new cards only from the current deck I’m focusing on.
  2. Automatically give me 150 review cards daily from all decks I’ve finished or studied.

Question:
Can this be done using Anki’s built-in options, filtered decks, or an add-on?
If not directly possible, any workarounds or custom scheduling methods are welcome!

Yes. Exactly how to set it up depends on how your decks are arranged in relation to each other (parent/subdecks), what deck you click to study, what Deck Options presets the decks use, etc. – but that should be easy to figure out with a few more details.

Something to keep in mind – it’s not a good idea to limit your reviews to 150. If you have more than 150 cards due one day, you will want to know about it and study them.
