Hello,
I have developed an Anki Add-on to support medical students using the Anking deck or those with similar terms. My add-on allows for live definitions of terms contained within the deck. There is additional information on our website, ankiboss. I am making this post as a request for permission to add the add-on to AnkiWeb because our account is too new to do so. Any additional questions can be sent to our team at team@ankiboss.com. I appreciate any assistance in expediting the process of making this add-on available to more users.
Thank you!

[My apologies for moving your message around unnecessarily.]
We don’t make exceptions to that policy.
You might want to reconsider your name. It seems like an attempt to confuse users into thinking you are connected with Anki or AmBoss (or both).

Thank you, do you know how long the hold is before it can be uploaded?
(I’m not related to the official Anki or mod) Names containing Anki are already widely used by volunteers so I think it’s fine for non-profit projects (as far as I know there have been no cases where non-profit volunteers who do not compete with Anki have been criticized for using it). If the project is for profit or competes with Anki there is a risk of trademark issues or criticism from the community. So it is common practice not to include the name Anki for projects that include paid options or have their own review system. Basically Anki has many volunteers and its users are mostly students so paid tools are very rarely welcomed.
AMBOSS has released an add-on that is popular among medical students who use Anki. If your project isn’t related to medical students it probably won’t be an issue but your project appears to be aimed at medical students. Unofficial tools that copy AMBOSS are often criticized by users, so I think it would be safer to either avoid using a name that could be easily confused with AMBOSS or to clearly state that your project is not related to AMBOSS.
The AnkiWeb add-ons page is widely used, but the promotional effect of this search page is almost 0. (typical add-ons only get tens to hundreds of downloads) Popular add-ons increase their download numbers through promotion by learning communities or external SNS platforms (e.g. AnkiConnect), not AnkiWeb. So if you want to promote an add-on I think simply creating an .ankiaddon file and posting it in a learning community is sufficient (r/Anki and GitHub are often used for such purposes). e.g. the third-party Anking for medical students can promote themselves so they distribute their own add-ons directly to users.
