does same day review really have any impact on the long term most of my cards are very well studied so I will still get the question right after any relearning steps (10m, 20m, 5h) so thats why I was using just single 1m learning and relearning steps but lately I have changed it to 10m my question is Does same day review really matters? what if I still press again on the new cards does that affects difficulty (on the long term)? personally after I changed to 10m learning and relearning steps I have observed no difference.
The FSRS helper add-on provides a feature to determine optimal steps.
For some people it might not be necessary at all.
Short-term reviews do have some impact on long-term retention, ultimately.
If you press again it will (of course) affect difficulty; what effect it has in the long-term depends on what else happens that card, well, along the longer-term.
As sorata noted, the FSRS Helper add-on can help determine more optimal learning steps based on your review history. It may be, simply, that yours currently are less-than-optimal.
so I Have disabled review ahead and set both learning and relearning to 10min now that should be fine or you recommend starting over rmse now between (3.3 to 5.2)
(sorry for that but I would be talking competitive exam in june so thats why Iam very nervous)
Whether or not it will be fine will depend on how it works out for you; I can’t (nor can anyone) predict that outright. Your best bet would be to try it out
If you’re not using FSRS, I would recommend that. If you are using it, the Helper add-on can help determine optimal learning steps.
I use fsrs already I think 10 min is optimal for me Iam just concerned about the past reviews for example is that like misusing hard bottom or thats very different scenario
That is a very different scenario
