I want to reduce my workload by half on a specific date.
the easy days option in the FSRS helper reduces the workload to zero. the easy days window in the deck options would do the job but it works for a specific day of the week every week, not for a specific date.
If it’s just one specific day, it’s probably easiest to simply manage this yourself.
It doesn’t have to be more complicated than – only study half of the due cards that day. The remaining cards will be a backlog the next day, and you can take a few days to catch up on them or scatter them across a few days so they will just naturally come due and be a little bit delayed.
The next rung up the complexity ladder is – study some of that day’s cards before and/or after that day. The FSRS Helper’s Advance and Postpone features will help with selecting those cards intelligently, but you’ll have to do that day-by-day.
If you want to have more certainty about it now, you can run some sensible searches of the cards due that day, so you can select some of them to pull forward and some of them to push further out. But keep in mind that not all the cards that will be due on that specific day have been scheduled yet – and if you do this too far in advance, things like load balancing and rescheduling might undo your efforts.
