Quick way of adding fields to notetype

Hi all… am attempting to create a well merged Notetype that will be containing notes with enough information for the creation of more than 20 cards. The objective is to have all the cards as siblings.

The challenge is, I need to create over a hundred fields for this Notetype and can’t just imagine doing this manually. Is there a quick way to achieve this?

I have attempted importing a sample note with the required fields hoping the notetype will be created automatically according to Import and export Note Types, but the note wasn’t imported.

Did you import that note as an apkg or text/CSV file?

Tab-separated-text.txt

I don’t think that will work, because it doesn’t give Anki enough information to make a note type – for instance the name of the note type, the name of the fields, the templates of the cards, etc.

Seems there is an addon for it: Import Note Types but it provides absolutely no documentation at all for it usage. Can anyone provide an assistance?

Could I provide the necessary information with a .apkg? If yes how could I go about that.

The add-on developer would be the best person to contact.

Of course – but to do that, you’d need an already-created note type that you could export as an apkg.

You mean if I “export” a notetype as .apkg, I could implement the necessary modification and import it I suppose. If yes, how? How do I edit a .apkg? What I know is exporting notes (Ctr+Shift+E) in the browser. Never heard anything as exporting notetype

When you export notes, their note type goes with them – that’s the only way Anki would be able to build the right cards at the other end.

I know of no way to modify an apkg before importing it.
