Pitch Accent Graphs

Hey guys,

I’ve a question today in my mind. It’s a little bit complicated though. I make cards automaticly with yomitan to anki. And with help of Kanjium Pitch Accent in my yomitan, when I add cards to anki, it adds pitch accent graph to my card automaticly too. But kanjium pitch accent graphs don’t look aesthetic. When i add with Japanese Pitch Accent Addon, it looks way more aesthetic. Is there a way to make Japanese Pitch Accent addon to add pitch accent graphs to my yomitan made cards automaticly instead of bad-looking kanjium pitch accent graphs that comes with yomitan?

This question should also go to the TMW guys, they can surely improve the feature. As for the add-on, I assume you have different field for pitch accent graphs? And the add-on simply adds to that? (you’re not telling us which add-on and I don’t learn pitch)

I’ll answer as divided parts if you don’t mind.

  1. What is TMW?
  2. Yes, I have separate field for pitch accent graphs.
  3. You can go to add section in Anki and click one of these two buttons to add pitch accent graphs.

But because I make cards with Yomitan I don’t wanna do it manually. I create cards with Yomitan automatically and I don’t make any correction in my cards.

  1. Add-on’s name itself is “Japanese Pitch Accent”.

TMW = The Moe Way, the community behind this fork of yomichan.

As for the add-on, it seems then the add on isn’t providing hulk updating feature. I would advise you ask the TMW guys if they can improve their pitch accent graphs.

I found the solution myself.

  1. Open Yomitan settings
  2. Click Anki section in Yomitan
  3. Click configure Anki card format
  4. Select “pitch accent graphs jj” for your pitch accent field.
