Persistent Crashing Issue After Migrating Half of Collection

2 days ago: I had 2 profiles that I can access from my Anki account from desktop. One of them, “User 1”, is synchronized to Anki Web. I access that same profile on my phone as well. I have another one called “Backup Recovery” that I started on my desktop only and did not synchronize it to the web.

2 days ago: I had the idea to export about half of my Anki collection because I stream Chess on Twitch. I wanted to be able to show my Chess decks without exposing the decks I have related to school. I exported all the decks related to school and re-uploaded them to the other user called “Backup Recovery” and renamed that to “School”.

You can check out a Twitch video of me practicing my Anki collection: Twitch.

Today: I wanted to practice the “School” collection from my phone so I changed over to “School” on Desktop and logged into my Anki web account. I believe that I clicked on Sync after that. The sync triggered the following error, and I’ve also noticed a ton of changes to my decks:

I remember encountering the send2trash error after renaming/deleting a profile. It should go away after restarting Anki completely or restarting your PC.

If you’re still unable to remove the profile, you can manually remove it from your data folder if you still wish to delete it:Anki Manual
