Pasting from the internet with color formatting

Dear Anki Support Staff,

First of all I wanted to thank you all for this software.

Due to the add-ons I use, I am sticking with Anki 2.1.26.

I consult dictionaries online, copy and paste the content I find interesting.
In this work-flow, I prefer to paste the content as it is. This means also with color formatting(i.e. if it’s red online, the text is kept red when pasted).

This workflow works when I am not working in night mode. When I am in night mode, the color formatting get stripped away.

Do you know if there is a workaround?

PS: I disabled all add-ons, to see if the behavior was due to any of them, and it doesn’t seem so.

If I recall correctly, night mode currently excludes colours when pasting because the majority of sources have a light background, and the original colours can be difficult to read.

Actually no - it was done this way because otherwise you end up with black text with a white background.
