Not showing multiple choice answers

I am new to Anki, so, is this normal?
the multiple-choice answers do not appear and i need to press the “blue” words in the question to get the completed answer. example:

11. […] is the idea of simplifying your data collection process to reduce the liklihood of errors & make the data collection process easier.

there are no answers to choose from. the only way to move forward is to press the […]
is it working correctly?

I don’t know what text is embedded in. However, it is likely that this is not a classic multiple-choice format. (Anki does not provide multiple choice functionality by default, you would have to build it yourself or use a pre-existing solution e.g from the forums.)

What you have is a Cloze-type flashcard: Adding/Editing - Anki Manual

‘Cloze deletion’ is the process of hiding one or more words in a sentence. (…) Sometimes sections that have been removed in this fashion are said to be ‘occluded’.

Here you have to mentally complete the missing term, display the term and then rate your recall performance (did you know it or not, how difficult was it)
