"New" Subdecks disappear to 0 even after not reviewing

Hello, I am having an issue with the sub-decks in a deck. I posted a picture of how they look at first and how they look after I am done reviewing only one subdeck. For instance if I look at the Family medicine deck, open the sub decks and review the cardiology sub deck, once I am done with the new cards under cardiology, I go back to the Family medicine deck and all the sub decks say zero. This happens to all the sub decks new cards (example dermatology, endocrinology) even though I have not even opened them.

I am using an M1 Mac and I have installed the newest version of Anki.
