I have a specific problem. First, I have the Ankimobile version 25.09 on my iPhone and Anki 2.1.49 on my computer.
I created image occlusion cards on my phone. However when I go to view them, only the image is shown, and not the occlusion elements. I get this specific error message:
*Error loading image occlusion. Is your Anki version up to date?
TypeError: Cannot read property ‘setup’ of undefined*
Also, I am not sure what the most recent version of Anki is that is compatible with my very old computer and MacOS. On the older versions archive, I could not find information about which OS each older version of Anki is compatible with.
IO wasn’t added as a built-in feature until 23.10, so you’ll need at least that to study IO notes/cards on desktop.
Here’s the macOS compatibility information I’ve pieced together so far (in the process of updating the docs: MacOS version requirements · Issue #442 · ankitects/anki-manual · GitHub . I can’t tell you which version to use, because you didn’t say what version of macOS you have or whether it is Intel or Silicon.
When I create the IO cards on my computer, I am able to see them on my iPhone. However when I create them on my phone I cannot see them on my computer. I am sure if I am able to fix this.
On your old version of Anki, you must be using the IO Enhanced add-on to do that. Those notes/cards can be created/edited on desktop Anki, and studied in AnkiMobile.
In AnkiMobile, you must be using built-in IO. Those notes/cards can be created/edited in your version of AnkiMobile, but can’t be used at all in your version of desktop Anki.
No, before the version in that link. It’s the same information I gave you last week (if you followed my links) – you need something 23.10 or newer, but 24.11 is as far as you can go. I’d recommend the 24.11 Qt5 build. Releases · ankitects/anki · GitHub
