I’m used to the “Check Media” feature on MacOS. There I always delete the trash folder too and then sync. Now I got aware, that I have a lot of media files still in the trash folder of iOS. Do I have to delete them separately on iOS?
Yes, the media.trash folder doesn’t sync between devices. You’ll need to Empty Trash separately on any device where you’ve used Delete Unused Media.
But the deletion of media from your collection.media folder does sync between devices, so you don’t need to/shouldn’t use Delete Unused Media on all of your devices separately.
