(MacOS) Opening multiple instances of Anki

Is there any way to open up multiple instances of Anki desktop on the same computer (specifically, on macos)?

If I do open -a safari and then open -n -a safari, it will open two instances of Safari, but if I do open -a anki followed by open -n -a anki it only brings the existing Anki window into focus.

(The reason I would like to do this is so that I could have two separate profiles open at the same time.)

Sorry, Anki does not support this. You would need to setup fast user switching, and then run the other instance as a separate user.

OK, good to know, thanks.

FWIW the reason that I’m using multiple profiles is because I have certain decks that I use for organizing skill practice and I don’t wish to use FSRS for them.
