Mac Reinstall Error Message on Startup

I recently restarted my mac and it deleted all third party apps. I’ve been able to redownload Anki and put it in my applications folder, but when I try to open it now I get this message in Terminal:

I also get errors when I try to choose a version:

Any advice on how to get it to start working again? For context I’m using a 2017 Macbook Pro with macOS Ventura 13.7.8

Search the forums for similar errors. If nothing works

Omg I think I’d downloaded an older version of the app. Thank you so much!

It sounds as if the OP might have decided to use the workaround of installing the older 25.02.7 version of Anki. However, if anyone wants to trouble this issue in the future:

I’d investigate whether Conda/Anaconda/Python was ever installed on the computer previously, either manually or perhaps through pip or homebrew. Perhaps some old installation of Python is interfering with Anki. Perhaps there are environment variables causing the old python installation to be used.

I’d also investigate whether entirely deleting Anki (and its python installation) by deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/AnkiProgramFiles directory might fix the issue when the Anki launcher re-installs it (and its python installation).
