For the last couple of days, I’ve gone to bed with my reviews completed, only to wake up with lots of cards marked as not reviewed the previous day. This morning, for instance, I have 60 cards - mostly mature - that are listed as due yesterday, despite having none left last night when I went to bed. I did most of my reviews on the PC but finished off on Android last night.
I’m a long term user of Anki (7 years +) and have not changed my behaviour/added add ons/done anything different in the last few months.
I don’t know if this is some kind of sync issue or a behaviour in one of the clients or what…
Has anyone else run into this issue? Anyone aware of a solution?
In the affected deck(s), how many reviews are you doing per day, and what is the “Maximum reviews/day” limit in the deck options? (If you have parent decks and sub-decks, make sure you check all of the relevant deck options.)
(Or the “Bury siblings” options might also cause you to skip reviews, but that usually won’t affect a large number of “mostly mature” cards every day.)

Do you think you reviewed those cards because (A) you had none left to do at the end of the day – or (B) because you remember reviewing those particular cards?
For (A) –
I agree that hitting a daily maximum review limit or sibling burying are the most likely causes of this. You should also make sure that your decks/subdecks are using the Options presets you think they are using.
For (B) –
Are you careful about your syncing habits? Do you sync when you open the app on a device, and when you close/leave the app on that device, every time? Do you have desktop add-ons that perform actions automatically (or on/after sync)?
