My laptop recently broke and i did not have time to back it up. I then got it fixed but it rest like a new laptop and i tried logging into my account and everything is gone please help!!!
is there any way i can restore the cards on epajmak@icloud.com, i don’t know if i overwrote the decks though
If you synced your collection to AnkiWeb, e.g. for usage on another device, you might be able to download it from there. Just set up a new Anki installation and log into AnkiWeb with your credentials. Choose Download during your first sync.
If you did not use AnkiWeb and have no local or remote backups of your wiped internal memory, there is nothing that can be done.
The data was removed from your account in April 2026, after it had been inactive for at least 6 months. We delete the data from accounts in our system that aren’t being used for syncing or studying, so AnkiWeb isn’t suitable for long-term storage of your inactive collection – AnkiWeb account removal - Anki FAQs .
Server-side backups are made much less frequently than local backups, and they not kept as long. When you reactivated your account in May 2026, that restarted the periodic cycle of backup/removal, so any backups from before April are gone now. While you reactivated your account then, it doesn’t look like you re-synced your collection to the server.
If your Anki2 data folder – Managing Files - Anki Manual – wasn’t rescued from your laptop before it was wiped, and you didn’t sync your collection to any other devices, there’s no way to recover it.
