This is the official support thread for the addon Jisho Kanji Stroke Order. Let me know below if you encounter any issues with the addon.
Hey soleuniverse,
I’m new to Anki and only have experience in java, but I was hoping you could help me get set up.
I’m using the WaniKani Anki deck made by rayzchen and was trying to add the jisho stroke images.
I don’t really understand how I’m supposed to implement the python commands in the card template, I mean just copy pasting the svg works, but the svg files have hex names so I don’t see a way to tie the svg file to the kanji it represents, and looking at the init code I’m not sure how you do it either.
Anyway, I’m trying to figure out a way to update all kanji cards with the stroke svgs, but I don’t know how.
Sorry for being so vague; understand if you can’t really assist
Hi @jtesch ,
I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to answer, I didn’t really check this thread the last few months and unfortunately it appears that I didn’t notice the notification of your message either…
Regarding your issue, maybe that wasn’t explained well enough in the addon page but to use the addon you need to copy paste the red text at the end of the template for the card type for which you need to get the Jisho strokes.
I recorded a video to show you the template I’m talking about :
I would gladly be available to help you set up the addon, if you still need it.
Let me know if that’s the case, have a great day!
