Hello, I’ve been a long time anki user for like 2 years now, and I’ve found that there seems to be no gain from me reviewing new cards again after I already marked them as good during that same day. How I solved this problem until now was just using easy on all new cards, while reserving hitting good for any cards that didn’t feel easy to me.
But now my habit of hitting easy on new cards has kind of fucked up the scheduling of my cards when I switched to FSRS instead of SM-2, with insanely long intervals for some cards, like a card that in SM-2 is 3 months on hitting good, becomes 2 years on hitting good.
So would it make sense to get rid of the learning steps at all and just use good instead of easy? Or is there some hidden benefit I’m missing, that you get from doing multiple reviews of the same card, in the same day, with the default learning steps?
