IO Rotating Bug

Ankimobile created IO cards bugged on windows anki. I need help ASAP!!
Only the images that i take using anki camera, not the one’s that i paste.

Sometimes cameras don’t actually rotate images when you take them in different orientations. They just store the orientation of the camera when the picture was taken in the metadata. When you view the image the viewing software rotates the image to the correct orientation for you. I guess something is going wrong with Anki desktop so it is not doing this.

I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to help you directly because I don’t have an iPhone to test things. These things may help you / others to help you:

  1. Are you running the latest version of AnkiMobile and Anki desktop? (latest desktop version is 25.02)

  2. Have you tried starting Anki in safe mode by holding ⇧Shift when you start it to see if addons are causing the issue?:

  3. Are you using the default built-in image occlusion note type or have you altered it/ are using a custom note type?

  4. It would be helpful if you gave us your debug information so we can see the exact version of your OS, Anki, and any addons that might be breaking things:

    Help -> About -> Copy debug Info

    Then paste it in a code block like this when posting:
