Introduce new cards from a deck in alphabeltical order according to tag

I have a large deck of vocab cards with words from a book I need to read. The cards are tagged according to the frequency with which they occur in the book. The tags are in alphabetical order (e.g., words that occur ≥500x are tagged 1a; words that occur 400-499x are tagged 1b; then 1c, 2a, 2b, …).

I need to learn the words in order of frequency, and I’d like to be able to do this from the main deck, rather than creating subdecks for each frequency range. Is there a way to have Anki introduce new cards in alphabetical order according to tag?

In the browser, filter cards with tag 1a, sort alfabetically, then reposition cards, for example from 1 to 50

Then do the same with tag 1b, reposition cards from 51 to 100

And so on.

Then in deck options > new card order > ascending or similar (speaking from memory now, not in front of the computer)
