Import File Error Help

Hi

I’m trying to import a file but I keep getting this error.
I tried down grading to 2.1.26 and also adding the special fields add on but no luck.

This is the error I get:

Any solutions? I currently have the latest anki version.

It seems like there may be something wrong with the file in question. Have you tried importing a different one? Did you get the file from AnkiWeb or some third party?

I have imported a different one recently and it went through. This is the first time I have seen this error before. I will say that this deck is from an upperclassmen, so he was using this deck around this time 1 year ago.

If you ask them to export the deck again using the latest Anki version, perhaps that will fix it. If it does not, please ask them to export a few cards in a deck that demonstrates the problem, and I can investigate further.
