I don't understand when to press 'Hard'

This has been answered but I’m not convinced. When to press?

  • when it’s been more than 5 seconds? 10 seconds?
  • when there’s considerable doubt?

Sure, those are fine reasons. You can choose whatever threshold you want, as long as you can keep it consistent.
