I want to do the green cards first, then with red, then the blue ones. Is this even possible? I tried tinkering around with the settings and looking up my problem but couldn’t really get it to work. I want the get the easiest cards out of the way first, then the ones I got wrong, and only then proceed to new cards.
It is definitely possible to study “green”-Review cards first, … then “blue”-New cards. You can control that in the Deck Options of the deck you click on to study
– New/review order → Show after reviews. Whether you can have the “red”-Learn/Relearn cards appear between them depends on which ones you are asking about.
You can start the day with “red” cards that are –
Cards that were in Learn/Relearn yesterday on a short step, but not graduated to Review before the end of the day.
Cards that were in Learn/Relearn yesterday on a long enough learning/relearning step that it crossed the day-boundary to today = interday learning cards.
Then once you start studying today, you will also have “red” cards that are –
Review cards that you’ve studied today that lapsed (Again) into Relearn.
Cards that were newly introduced today and are now in Learn.
For 1, 3, and 4 – These cards are the highest priority, and will be shown as close as possible to the time they are due (based on the learning/relearning step they are on). Since the cards in #1 are held over from yesterday, they are overdue, and will be shown first today. Cards in #3 and #4 will be shown when their current step interval has passed, at any time during your study session today.
For 2 – You can control where you see these relative to your Review cards in the Display Options of the deck you click on to study
– Interday learning/review order → Show after reviews.
So, if you set both New and interday Learn as “Show after reviews,” I believe (but I welcome verification or correction) you will be shown:
Learn (red) #1 →
Review (green) →
Interday Learn (red) #2 →
New (blue) →
Learn (red) #4 [but these can start appearing anytime during your New cards, depending on how long your learning steps are]
Except for the length of your relearning steps, you can’t really control when you’ll be shown Relearn (red) #3, because it will depend on when you get them wrong.
