Hello everyone! By mistakenly clicking on one of those files [see pictures below], it downloaded new cards into my daily card deck. I’m not sure how to remove them or what exactly got added. I synchronized the added cards on my iPad and desktop, but I haven’t done so on my iPhone, which still has the previous card count. What steps should I take to resolve this situation?
There are two options:
Restore a backup from before you made this mistake (Backups - Anki Manual).
Sync your iPhone to AnkiWeb and force download your AnkiWeb state to your desktop (Syncing with AnkiWeb - Anki Manual):
If you wish to force a full upload or download (for example, because you accidentally deleted a deck on one side and want to restore the deck rather than having its deletion synchronized), you can check the “On next sync, force changes in one direction” box in Tools>Preferences>Network, then sync as usual. (You’ll be given the option to choose which side you want to use.)
Not sure how exactly this is done on iPhone, but you need to force a one-way sync from it, selecting “upload to AnkiWeb”. Then do a one-way sync on your other devices, selecting “download from AnkiWeb”. This will replace your collection on all devices with the version from your iPhone.
It is recommended to do a backup on your iPhone before initiating the syncs in case anything goes wrong.
There is also an alternative way of looking for existing auto-backups on your desktop. If there is one with the state you need, you can load it and then one-way sync it to all the other devices from there.
Thank you it worked!
