How to change hidden ID on cards

So i don’t know what happened but i thought all my cards got deleted and ended up realizing they are all still there just have a Hidden ID. And im not sure how to change that back to normal so they show. I was able to study them by resisting their status to new and they came up again but when i finish the deck they don’t stay in the green as in to review they just disappear again. So to do them again i would have to reset them to new again. Any tips I attached images to show the difference in ID. Also it’s not the same as burying or suspending because I tried that already.

That’s how Anki works, i.e. it’s a feature and not a bug. If you want to study outside of the schedule Anki determines for your cards, use filtered decks. See docs.ankiweb.net/filtered-decks.html.

For a breakdown on how learning new cards works, see Deck Options - Anki Manual.

After you learn the cards, the cards will be shown on the basis of a schedule Anki determines for you. Check the link above if you want to change anything.

The problem isn’t I didn’t do the cards. So it’s not like I reviewed them. And usually once you do cards they stay in the green for review they don’t just disappear

I overlooked the image you posted. That “ID (hidden)” is a field in your note and comes with image occlusion enhanced cards. The “hidden” simply means the ID doesn’t show up when reviewing cards.

I’m not sure what you mean. I suggest you record what’s happening.

In my understanding, either of these things happen:

  • You review the card and it does disappear.
  • It doesn’t “disappear” for that day but comes again for learning (red). Once learned, you can’t study it again for that day.

See how for other decks there’s no blue cards to learn or red but they stay in green they don’t just disappear from the deck. In terms of the deck I’m having issues with once I review the cards green column is empty as well if that makes sense. When in a normal deck yes I reviewed them for the day but they stay in the green column and would get presented to me again the next day.

Those counters are not counting every card in the deck – only the cards that are currently due to be studied. There’s no reason to think that anything has disappeared. Read: Studying - Anki Manual

Yes, if you study all of the Review cards that are due for today, that green counter (which counts the Review cards that are due today) will go to 0. Perfectly normal.

That’s not accurate. If you study today’s due cards that counter goes to 0. For cards that are scheduled for the next day, that counter will refresh with a new count when the next day starts.

I guess I’ll just have to see if they come up tomorrow. Something is up though because what I’m saying by “disappearing” is I only did one deck and the other deck also went away like I did then when I did not review them.
And now it’s giving me this instead of the typical 10minute or 1 day on the good it’s giving me “end” which isn’t normal

The decks probably share the same preset. See Deck Options - Anki Manual.

It’s normal if you’re using a filtered deck. The cards are in preview mode. See docs.ankiweb.net/filtered-decks.html. (I posted this earlier, please read if you’re confused).

That sounds like you might have a daily review limit that is applying to multiple decks/subdecks, or you might have sibling cards that are being buried. Take a look at the manual for those issues too.

That is happening in a Filtered deck because you have reschedule-based-on disabled. That’s probably not what you want. Filtered Decks - Anki Manual
