Do you have a custom font set for that note type? In the editing area, click Cards…, then select browser appearance from the top right. Adjusting the font there may help.
Not OP, but same issue. The solution works as expected. Just note - as it may not be immediately obvious - that it must be done per card type. So if you have discrepant fonts in the Browser (see below), you need to repeat the override for each note type. After overriding each card template, it’s fine.
