How do I undo the split-screen decks list?

I accidentally split the Anki window into multiple panes, and I don’t know how to return it to the normal single-window layout.

I’m using Anki on Android.

I may have changed the layout by mistake.
How can I disable the split view and restore the default screen layout?

That’s a new feature for larger screens in the latest release. Right now, there’s no way to disable it – but the developers are keeping an eye on the response.

I reported the same issue on Discord, copy/pasting here -
**Remove AnkiDroid split deck picker screen on 2.24
**
What it says on the tin really. Ankidroid updated overnight on my Samsung tablet to 2.24, and now the main screen (deck picker?) is split in 2, and it’s increased friction: I used to just have to tap the name of the deck to study it, now I need to tap it, then move down and to the side to click on study. I looked through the config options, but couldn’t find a way to remove this terrible split screen, please someone tell me there’s a way…

Edit - it feels like this is related to the same issue but in create/edit cards, can we have a global fix please?

I’m not a tablet user, but I agree with this being annoying. I even mentioned it on Reddit a while ago (the split screen existed since a long time, but it seems that the tablet “threshold” has been reduced in 2.24 so that more devices are considered tablets now).

Separate issues, separate fixes – that’s why the devs requested for us to track them in separate threads.
