How do I get ⌘w to close add-ons windows?

On MacOS 10.15, Anki version 2.1.56, the usual Mac keyboard shortcut for closing windows (which is ⌘w) does not close the “add-ons” window,

I did discover that the Escape key closes the window, but that’s not the typical shortcut a long-time Mac user would think of using, and it’s hard to retrain muscle memory. I’ve installed the “Customize Keyboard Shorcuts” add-on but don’t see a way to change this particular behavior.

It’s admittedly a minor issue, but because I’m exploring add-ons, I’m hitting this little annoyance kind of often, and I’d like to overcome it if possible. Is there a way?
