Help reverting my 2, 4, 6 days into 1, 2, 3 days for cards

This is a follow up question from about 6 months ago. I am willing to reset all cards to zero if it would help. I want back the original 1 day green for good and 2 days blue for easy, showing up as 2, 3, 4, etc. over the next day, and so forth. I am willing to reset all cards to 0 if it would help. The problem is that every new card I either create or import, is automatically a 2 orange, 4, green and 6 easy. Any help would be really appreciated as my workaround takes forever. I create new cards and mark them as again, and that sometimes help and other times it does not. Many thanks for your patience with me.

Hi, it is not needed to reset your cards. You could reset your deck options to get the default one.
For new cards, if you want 1 day for good, set Gradiating interval to 1 (actually the default setting). If you want 2 days for easy, set Easy interval to 2.
For learned cards, if you want very short intervals like 2, 3, 4, etc., set Starting ease to 1.3.

Thanks, Pavreh. I am ashamed that every time I look for the area in ANKI where I make those changes, I get lost and often it takes me hours to find it. Could you please tell me where in ANKI I make the changes you have suggested. How do I get there? Thanks!

Deck options are in the gear symbol next to the deck name.

Thanks so much! Ok, so here are my present settings that are not working, and I am not sure if it is here or elsewhere that I have to make the changes:

Learning steps: 1d 2d 3d 4d 5d 6d
Graduating interval: 7
Easy interval: 7
Order: random

I would think that with this new cards should come the way I wish, but they do not. Any new cards I add go to the 2day, 4 day, 6day intervals.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Current learning cards follow the steps as they were defined at the time they were learned, so if you changed the steps settings after they were learned, they will not be affected. But they will follow current settings once they graduate, and new learning cards will follow the new settings. Perhaps that explains what you are seeing.
