Is anyone having issues with this add on? I have the AnKing V12 deck and have the new updated add on code but the cards won’t populate on search.

You might double-check that you’re not using an outdated add-on; there are a few versions of similar ones that float around and not all are useful.
I use the supported version of the add-on regularly and it works fine for me (used it this morning, and most days)
All the typical suspects:
- You’ll want to make sure you’re on the most updated version of Anki.
- Make sure you’re using the correct version of the add-on (there are some copycats that float around; the supported one that I know is properly updated is over at https://www.theanking.com/)
- Make sure the version of the deck you’re using is current (tags trees are occasionally updated and adjusted)
If all three of the above are in place you should be good to go. Nary a day passes that I don’t use the add-on and I haven’t had any troubles at all
