Hi. I keep getting the same error when I try to add a card from a uworld question using the uworld2anki add on.
Failed to open card. Check if anki is running. and uworld2anki extension is installed
It had been working perfectly fine up until a week ago. I’ve tried uninstalling and installing anki several times, I’ve checked for updates on the add on, I’ve removed the add on and downloaded it again, checked that I have the latest version of anki, I’ve tried literally everything you can think of. Changing the prompt from step 1 to step 2 didn’t work either. I’ve searched on every forum for a solution and nothing has worked. I don’t know what else to do, can someone please help??? I included a screenshot of the error message I keep getting below. PLEASE HELP!!!
Did you report this to the add-on developer – by clicking “Contact Author” on the add-on page, or whatever other way they suggest to contact them?
I did, the link to contact author sent me to another forum and I posted the issue but no one has answered. The issue had been posted before and only one person commented a possible solution and I tried it but it didn’t work either

If there’s already a GitHub issue about it, then the developer is already aware of it. Rather than open another issue, you should add your information to that existing issue – including the fact that the suggested fix didn’t work.
This seems like a very unusual error to get in Anki – since Anki would have to be running, with the add-on installed and enabled, in order for you to see this message at all.
If the developer continues to not respond, you should consider the add-on has been abandoned, and find a different solution for yourself.
