Graph showing new cards seen per day? (`introduced` stat by day)

I was coming here to ask if there’s a way to see a graph of new cards reviewed per day, and I discovered that @lincolnsm asked exactly the question I was coming to ask

However, the thread auto-closed so I couldn’t respond. This is essentially a follow-up to that. Has anyone found a way to show this data?

Thanks to that thread I now know about the introduced search key, which is cool, but certainly more tedious to use than just looking at a graph.

I also see the add-on that someone suggested in that thread, but that doesn’t quite seem right either – it counts cards as they move out of the “learned” state, which isn’t the same as “new cards seen per day”. (For example, if I see a new card for the first time today but it doesn’t become “learned” until the following day.)

For what it’s worth, I have a hazy memory of seeing this in a graph in some older version of Anki from days of yore… I’m not sure if it went away, or maybe “learning” cards just works differently with FSRS. Or maybe I’m misremembering

Anyway… I think this would be a useful addition to the default stats page, personally, but even if not… I appreciate any help!

Search Stats Extended apparently has it, but +1 for adding a native version to the stats.

Preferably a checkbox in the added graph similar to the time checkbox in the reviews graph.

Well, if they want to, they’ll do it. I just don’t get it: if I set a goal of studying 10 cards a day, my graph will be a straight line, but if I just repeat one day, the graph will be in the doldrums. But what does that give me?
If I look at the “Reviews” graph, “Learning” and “Relearning” are highlighted, and that’s enough for me to understand.
Until I look at it, it’s visible and I won’t know if it’s useful or not.

I personally introduce a varying number of new cards every day, so the graph won’t be flat. It’d certainly be far more interesting than the sporadic spikes in my added graph which mainly consists of premade cards.

Also, the number of (re)learning reviews ≠ the number of cards introduced.

Thank you! I just gave the add-on a shot, but unfortunately it seems a bit broken. For example, I added/learned 10 new cards today, and the graph shows 20. (Anki’s browser shows the correct number of cards with introduced:1, of course.) Yesterday’s new cards seen was 12, the graph shows 22, etc.

I’m almost tempted just to fork the add-on, remove all the other graphs, and fix the issues with this one graph. That’s a little silly, but it seems like something many people have asked for over the years and it’s a bit annoying to install an add-on with so many stats when I just want one…

In any case, for now I’ll go file an issue with the add-on author. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! (EDIT: Filed this issue.)

Sorry, but I have no idea what you’re saying

Yup, me too! Many of my cards are either premade or generated by me in bulk, and I add a varying number to study each day. So the default “new” graph is pretty useless for me and an introduced graph would be very useful.
