Files not appearing when trying to import to anki

I’m quite new to Anki. When trying to import a csv file to Anki it does not appear on the anki file explorer. I have tried dragging the file to the document folder of Anki file explorer but still no success. Could anyone tell me what has gone wrong and what I could do to fix it?
