Feature Request: Keep old version of shared deck available during copyright check when resharing

I have a shared deck which I’ve shared with a telegram group of like-minded students. However, I occasionally find mistakes in my deck and would like to correct my deck and reshare a corrected version so that future downloaders can benefit and past downloaders can redownload the deck and correct their versions.

The main issue is that when I do this there is a 24 hour period where the deck is taken offline to scan for copyright issues. I thought that the old version would still remain available during that time while the new version is being scanned for copyright, but the whole deck with all of its versions becomes unavailable resulting in people messaging me and telling me they can’t download the deck.

I think the best solution is to keep the old version of the deck available during this period. Or to immediately allow the new deck up and then remove it later if copyright violations are found. Or at the very least, during this resharing period, to put up a message explaining the situation so that people know to come back after 24 hours to download the updated deck.

There are a few services that specialize in this basic thing.

Ankihub, and Ankicollab. There may be others, but those are the two I’m at least somewhat familiar with

As was said there, the copyright inspection goes away after some time. For one my decks, now it’s gone.

I’m currently afraid to reshare my decks now though, because I don’t know if the copyright checking has gone away or not. If there was some indicator that it is now safe for me to reshare then that would be a helpful way of mitigating this issue as well.

Those services seem very interesting, I will look into them. Much appreciated.

The deck must be at least 3 months old.
