Error trying to connect: tcp connect error: No route to host (os error 65)

I recently transferred to a newer iPhone model, and I’m getting the following error when I try to sync my Anki collection:

Device information:

  • iOS 17.1
  • iPhone 15

I tried all of the following:

  • Using another Wifi
  • Using mobile data instead of Wifi
  • Disabling VPN
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling the application
  • Resetting the network settings to factory
  • Rebooting the device

Nothing helped and only Anki is affected. (I can use the browser and other applications without issues.) It’s not transient either because it’s been like that for a whole week.

Did I miss something? What can I do to troubleshoot this further?

Please check that you haven’t accidentally entered something into the ‘self-hosted sync server’ field in the preferences>syncing screen, and that you haven’t denied AnkiMobile access to mobile data in the iOS settings if you’re trying to sync on 4G. Did you try disabling the VPN and then rebooting?

Thank you for the prompt answer!

VPN is disabled, and the device was reboot:

Mobile data is not blocked for Anki:

Self-hosted sync server has not been enabled accidentally:
