Editing Cards And Impact On Scheduling

There are often times when I am reviewing a card and realize that I need to change the text. If I edit the card during review, does this have any impact on scheduling? Is there any impact if I edit cards later, after they have already been reviewed?

By edit, I mean just text edits. This would not involve adding or deleting fields or modifying the card/note type. The use case for this is for me to edit non kanji characters into kanji and vice versa. For example, I have an addon called Japanese Support so taking 汗 and writing in [あせ] to add furigana on the card.

No, it should not.

No, that sort of editing – anything that doesn’t cause cards to be created or deleted – won’t impact scheduling. It doesn’t matter if you do it during your study session or after.

When you make significant changes to a note/card, you might decide you want to manually alter the scheduling – but nothing will happen automatically.
