Hello!
I recently downloaded the new Anki version on my desktop and am receiving an error message for two add-ons. One is causing the app to freeze upon opening, not allowing me to scroll through the decks, and another will pop up after a few minutes. Upon checking the two add-ons, they should be supported on this new Anki update. I have attempted to restart Anki, restart the computer, delete and re-add the add-ons, and delete and redownload the Anki app. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Add-Ons affected:
Pokmanki - 1041307953
AnkiHub - 1322529746

That version of Pokemanki is not being maintained because the developer is busy so it is broken in the latest version of Anki. (developer zjosua is a medical student so I think they are probably working in a medical field now)
Instead there is another version of Pokemanki that I customized:
Another popular Pokémon add-on is Ankimon developed by Unlucky-life, this add-on is currently ranked at the top of the add-ons ranking. (Pokemanki’s new feature was inspired by this add-on)
Pokemanki: Displays Pokemon calculated from card statis.
Ankimon: Displays Pokemon in the Reviewer.
AnkiHub is actively managed by third party Anking (and Ankhub) so I think it should work with the latest Anki. I recommend disabling all add-ons other than AnkiHub to check if AnkiHub is the cause.
- Anki Menu bar → Tools → add-ons (Open Add-ons Dialog) → Select add-ons → Toggle Enabled (button at the bottom right) → Restart Anki
If Ankihub is the cause you will need to contact their community. When the error pops up, click “Copy debug info” and send it to the add-on developer.

In general this can always happen, doesn’t necessarily indicate a particular issue with anything. Add-ons may have to be updated to work with newer Anki versions, so if you rely on specific Add-ons for your workflow you might want to refrain from updating as long as there’s no compatible version of your chosen Add-on.

Amazing, thank you so much for your help and alternative add-ons! I’ll give those a try.
It looks like the Ankihub one resolved itself now, but this is great to know for the future.
