Does AnkiMobile sync in-app preferences too? I mean things like frequent actions, layout settings, top bar / bottom bar configuration, etc. It would be a pain to switch to a new device and have to redo all these preferences manually.
If this doesn’t exist yet, I’d like to propose it as a feature for a future update.
But if this is inconvenient for users who prefer different settings on different devices, I would propose a more convenient way for everybody: you could offer a way to save their current layouts and preferences as a ‘customization profile’ in a list of such profiles that could be synced via AnkiWeb and easily applied on other devices.

Then syncing the settings don’t make much difference. Better just have an “Sync settings” option. That option gets synced between clients so if you turn it off once, settings won’t get synced through AW.
Some parts of Preferences sync through AnkiWeb, because they are included in the collection database, and common across all platforms – other parts do not.
The prefs you mentioned are likely not synced. However, I would think they are preserved by your OS, so I wonder if they would be migrated with the rest of your apps/data when switching to a new device. Admittedly, I have must more experience with migrating between Android devices than iOS devices, but bringing over what you have on your old device is pretty standard these days, isn’t it?
