Different iOS anki apps

What are the differences between the ‘Anki’ apps for iOS?

I have ‘AnkiApp 9.8.0’
There is an ‘Anki Pro’
And ‘AnkiMobile’

Not that this is confusing, but I am confused.

Thanks

Wayne

The difference is that AnkiApp and Anki Pro are knock-offs.

Ankimobile is the only official one.

You’ll find direct links to all of the legit versions in the Download section of the main site. https://apps.ankiweb.net/

Thank you brainravens,

The AnkiWeb is not working great for me. And the AnkiMobile has a low rating.

Will an export from AnkiWeb import into AnkiMobile?

And even though AnkiPro had great ‘ratings,’ it didn’t last 5 minute on my phone.

The ONLY thing going for it were dozens of card decks for my language.

But, computer generated voice and unknown translations don’t impress me. I am cleaning up the 1,000 word deck I have with 10% errors…

You don’t need to export anything, just sync with your AnkiWeb credentials.

There is a minority of users who are not happy to make a one-time purchase (AnkiMobile) which keeps AnkiMobile, AnkiWeb and Anki for Desktop running.

There are a lot of pre-made decks available for Anki (https://ankiweb.net/shared/decks).

I wouldn’t pay much mind to the ratings; Ankimobile is the only official version of Anki for mobile devices. The other two, as mentioned, are knock-offs and are not related to Anki as a whole.

No need to export. Just log into Ankiweb from within Ankimobile and it will sync to your device seamlessly.

Additionally ratings can be bought and are thus not 100% trustworthy. Especially for free or rather cheap apps.

By the bye, “AnkiApp” actually rips off a lot of stuff from AnkiWeb’s collection. Truly ingenious people.
