- Make sure you have a backup of your collection
- Ensure Anki is closed…
- Go in the Anki directory, then in your profile directory (same name as your profile).
- Rename
collection.anki2
incollection.anki2.old
andcollection.media.db2
incollection.media.db2.old
. - Open Anki.
- Click on Tools > Check Database.
- Import your backup.
- Click on Tools > Check Database.

If everything went fine, and you have asserted you have recovered all your collection, you can delete
collection.anki2.old
andcollection.media.db2.old
.
