DbError { info: “SqliteFailure(Error { code: DatabaseCorrupt, extended_code: 11 }, Some(“database disk image is malformed”))”, kind: Other }
HERE’S WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENS:
I can’t restore from backup because this problem occure since 2 month ago, and now I did some important for me progress on the app.
2.The app worked well on PC and Android tablet, but I could synch on my phone.
I just broke my favorite tablet, so I write this sad message:(.
I manually renamed “collection.anki2” to “collectionY.anki2”, and since then I can’t open Anki on PC (at all).
I tried to rename this file, and as well I renamed it “collection.anki2” back, as it was.
It says there’s some problem with “anki.exe” when I try to open Anki on PC.
It is unfortunate that you let this go for 2 months, because restoring from a backup before the corruption is usually the easiest path out of this. Since you can’t do that, some other ideas –
I can’t tell if this is a different problem or not. If you change the name of your collection database – Anki won’t recognize it, and won’t open it.
It sounds like you’re now getting an error and can’t open Anki at all? We would need to know what the error is to help, but before you respond, first try everything in the Troubleshooting Checklist – Troubleshooting - Anki Manual .
If you’re still having issues after that, we can talk about ways to salvage your database.
