Custom CSS not applied on Ankiweb but works on Mac

I appreciate the responses!

First I tried appending Eltaurus’s code because that seemed easiest, but it didn’t work. I don’t know if I appended correctly, just put exactly what was in the grey box at the end of my styling page.

Then I copied and pasted Anon_0000’s code into a Word document side-by-side with my code, but am scared to implement as it is so different from the code I have I don’t want to simply copy and paste it over my code. As I am not a coder, I can’t tell exactly what individual changes I could make to my current code.

Next, I will try to read/understand the post Eltaurus referenced and see if I can understand the underlying problem with my current code. Yikes!

Just to make sure, did you Sync after making the change to upload it to AnkiWeb, before opening the Card there?

If it doesn’t work after the Sync, can you share your full Card in some way (I don’t have access to your collection)? There is a chance I missed something, when trying to replicate your Card from the code provided, but it works with the suggested style as expected for me:

The code is very similar. You could just copy the code into your template, see if it works, and revert if it doesn’t. No need to be scared if you can easily revert the changes in 5 seconds. I’m certain that it’ll work, though.

That being said: Eltaurus’ solution seems much easier and better than having to add position: relativ and z-index everywhere – especially if you plan to update your code in the future. Though I arguably didn’t try his code yet and don’t know if it works – but considering he tried it and it indeed worked for him, there’s no reason to believe it wouldn’t work.

Of course I didn’t think to sync! I can’t even blame that on not being a coder. But…

IT WORKED!!!

Thank you, Eltaurus. I’m so happy. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Thank you, Anon_0000. Though I didn’t have to try your code, I really appreciate the help.
