I used to use Anki on the web, on my phone, and on my previous Win 10 laptop.
They all got along well, recently.
Now I installed Anki on my new laptop (with Win 11), and I can’t sync with the web.
I kept getting this error message:
“corrupt: TEXT value in notes.sfld”
…and I was not able to download any card/data from the web.
I decided to export and import everything on a USB stick from my old computer, but I still get the error when I try to sync.
I’m afraid to upload the current decks, as I lost data (a couple of times) doing like that.
Any other idea?
I also found an old topic about the same error with the title “Can’t synchronise from Ankiwebb to app in Iphone” (sorry, I can’t share the link here);
but the suggested steps were not effective (they had no effect at all, actually this rule/command/script didn’t even run in the Debug Console).
I’m wondering if any debugging can help, since I got this EM with a fresh (and newest) app, without any cards downloaded (totally empty).
That’s the expected output. And I’d expect that if you use Tools>Check Database immediately after doing that, that you don’t get the corrupt message. Is that not the case?
If I use Tools>Check Database immediately after doing that, I don’t get the corrupt message, BUT if I want to synchronize again (or just to close the app), the same box (with the error message) appears as before…
…furthermore I also tried to download everything from AnkiWeb, but this also didn’t solve the issue.
I get the same error message (“corrupt: TEXT value in notes.sfld”) for a quater of a second, and it disappears by itself.
Anytime I open/close/sync.
When you choose download, you’re overwriting the fixed collection with the broken one you previously uploaded. After fixing the problem, you must choose upload instead, to send the fix to AnkiWeb.
