"Confirm" button greyed out on Terms and Conditions page

Anki:Apple Silicon:Terms and Conditions:the “continue” button is “greyed out” and doesn’t do anything when “pressed”. Similarly, the “Obliterate Account” (I forget the exact wmording) button is greyed out and ineffective.

M1 MacBook Pro, latest everything.

I have just downloaded Anki today and wanted to get some existing flashcards to see what they look like and how they are organized before starting my own (if necessary), but before one can do that, one must agree to the Terms and Conditions which is impossible.

Terms & Conditions? Obliterate Account? None of that sounds familiar.

Did you download Anki from the main site? https://apps.ankiweb.net/

Yes. Correct download address.

Here are screenshots:

Thanks for your very prompt interest. I know several multinational companies that could use you in customer support.

I see – you’re creating an AnkiWeb account. It sounded like you were talking about installing Anki.

If you read the yellow box in your 1st screenshot, it tells you that you need to indicate your consent to the Terms. There’s a checkbox for you to do that in your 2nd screenshot.

But that’s what doesn’t work. No “clicking” happens. Also, the blue is very pastel (as is the red in the other screen) which is why I think they are “greyed out”, and I don’t see why.

Nothing changes when you click the checkbox?

(On the Remove Account page, similarly, I would think the button doesn’t activate until you follow the directions there.)

Correct. Nothing happens. Similarly with the Remove Account page (which I tried to do to expunge everything and start over. Didn’t work). I would never say that I haven’t done anything wrong, but I can’t see that I have overlooked anything on either page….

Mike

Does the checkbox even change – to a “checked” box?

The sites are working fine for me – activating the buttons as soon as I finish the steps.

Perhaps it’s one of your browser extensions interfering with things?
