I need more context for this string:

What does $val here refer to? Is it a filename or is it card/note id?

Similarly in this string:

Notes added from file: { $val }

Does $val refer to a filename or notes?

These are from the old legacy importer which will be dropped at one point. First one shows the first field, second one shows a number.
