my cards sometime get stuck in those pesky header decks and there’s a lot of them in my collection. any way to check whether there are cards in those or not without manually searching? searching takes up a lot of time. an add-on would be nice but couldn’t find it myself.
You can use the following search query
deck:(deckname) -deck:(deckname):_*
Ensure you are on cards mode
You will have to do this for each header deck though.
I appreciate your response Suhas. But I already said:
I assume it’d be easy to create an add-on that does the searching and maybe flags/tags those cards. Can I ask you to do that for me after advance is finished and you have some free time?
Hmm, I’ll have to learn more about what all functions are available for cards and decks. For this, it’ll require being able to know which decks have subdecks in them.
I’ll give it a shot in a week
Will searching for these manually take up more time than manually running an add-on to do the same search for you? This seems like it would work to search for cards in top-level decks, but not in subdecks and be pretty quick – deck:_* -deck:_*::_*
.
But you can save yourself that time by not creating cards in the wrong deck in the first place. You’ve got things like Default deck Preferences and Deck Override to help you avoid that.
thanks brother
