Cards freeze instead of showing next card

I’ve had this issue with newer versions of Anki where the card sometimes freezes on one card and when I hit good or again, it stays on the same card until I press space again, and then it shows the backside of a card I haven’t seen yet. This only happens with never versions of Anki for some reason. I have disabled all of my Anki add-ons except for Anki Connect.

I did as the troubleshooting manual said, but nothing works.

Version ⁨24.04.1 (ccd9ca1a)⁩
Python 3.9.18 Qt 6.6.2 PyQt 6.6.1

Try #6 on the Troubleshooting checklist – Troubleshooting - Anki Manual .

I have, but nothing in the troubleshooting manual seems to work :sob:

When you’re asking for help, it’s better if you explain what you’ve already tried, so no one wastes your time (or their own) suggesting things that won’t work. What happened when you tried each of the video drivers?

Nothing really happened. Everything stayed the same.

Restart with all of your add-ons disabled (explained in the checklist), and try all of them, restarting in between (with add-ons disabled).

I tried disabling every add-on (Anki-Connect), but the problem persists.

Instead of changing the video driver in CMD or PowerShell, changing the video driver in preferences → OpenGL seems to have solved the issue.

You’d like me to believe that you were able to try all of the drivers and test them adequately in less than 2 minutes?

Gosh – I wish I’d suggested that first!
Happy studying.

Thanks! ^-^
