I’m having issues trying to paste in the debug info from AnkiDrod inside a code block in this site. It probably has to do with the newlines in-between every line? I am not sure.
Maybe we should be allowed the previous legacy text editor without a live preview so that I can set my own backticks, if that’s possible.
This is what I was trying to paste in the codeblock.
AnkiDroid Version = 2.22.0beta2 (01328a9fc8e15c75f5cb98a5268d9ba04ca51353)
Backend Version = 0.1.59-anki25.07.3 (25.07.3 65b5aefd0705463cb12e72e254f798f90c96e815)
Yeah, it’s a bit glitchy. When I paste from the clipboard, it only shows the first line, but when I paste it by long pressing then selecting paste (I’m on Android), it pastes the whole thing.
There is however a toggle in the upper left corner to switch to a monospace unformatted mode.
The 1st one is pasted in the rich text editor after clicking the code/preformatted block button –
– the 2nd one in the markdown editor between backticks. They seem the same to me [on Windows, using Chrome].
But if you are having problems with the new editor, I think you’ll have to consult with Discourse about those. Or just disable it in your own window using the switch.
