I am currently using Anking deck and I want to insert my own note to the Extra field.
However i am unable to add any contents in the Extra field.
Any solutions?
Not sure if there is a restriction. One thing you could try is clicking into the Text field and then pressing Tab to move to the next field.
tab lets me select the field but the input cursor(don’t know how to call it) won’t blink which means i still can’t add on the field.
try opening the source code for the field (the button in the top right corner
). There might be some html tags there that make the field appear this way. You can try cleaning those.

i just inserted my content straight after the source code without editing it.
There’s nothing wrong with that code. It’s just some empty html tags to create a new block and format the text inside as bold and italic. You probably accidentally made it by pressing the styling buttons 
, or maybe it’s a side product of some addon you have. If you didn’t put it there intentionally, it’s probably better to remove it either way.
As for Anki displaying a field with empty html at such a width, I think it is just a bug in one of the later versions. I don’t suppose that shrinking the editing field beyond minimal height is the intended behavior.
Agreed. I can reproduce this with the same html (<div><b><i></i></b></div>) in
Edit: I opened a report in Having empty HTML in the add cards fields causes the field to shrink and be unusable.
